When dispensing, you select the workshop that your order is going to. If you generally use one workshop more than the others you can set a default workshop in the branches tab. When you go into the dispensing module, your default workshop will already be selected. This can be changed manually at the time of dispense if needed.

Navigate to Maintenance, Branch & System and then Branch Full Config.

Select your default workshop from the Default Workshop dropdown list. This list is populated from the Suppliers list in Maintenance.

Please note - You need to make sure that the supplier you select as a default workshop is assigned to your Branch.

To do this, navigate to Maintenance, Products and then Suppliers. Find the name of your supplier and click the 'Link' button as shown below.

Any branch that this supplier is linked to is listed in the top box of the new window.

If you need to link your branch to the supplier, select the branch from the dropdown list and fill in any account details you need to in the boxes in the bottom half of the page. Then click '+' and then the arrow button to close.

If you use remote edging and the orders are not sent to a workshop to be glazed but are put together in practice instead, you can create a supplier on the Suppliers form in Maintenance with the same name as your practice.
