TRANSCRIPT
Hi guys its harry from i-clarity and in this video we’re going to be looking at some of the changes in the most recent update that being “The document centre update”
The first thing to note is access to documents and the document centre has been taken from the “patient menu” and made accessible via its own drop down, this being the “documents menu”
This should give you quicker access to the patients documents and neaten the list for the patient menu
Now let’s look at the changes within the document centre
Folders are now separated out into a separate box within the top right, clicking the tick boxes will show the documents within the selected folders in the bottom left.
You now have a tick box to toggle whether you want to see specific documents that are linked to exams.
In clicking this tick box you’re given a list of the patients clinical records, selecting any of these will show the documents that are linked with that particular clinical record. To link a document to a specific exam,
First “show all documents”, select the exam you’re wanting to link the document to, then right click the document and select “link to this exam”.
A handy way to track which documents are related to which patient visit.
On a right click of patient documents you can also email these documents,
When sending these or other ad hoc emails, you can choose to send them to the patient's GP or college—if one is available for that GP or College in i-Clarity. Alternatively, you can enter a different address manually
Clicking the arrow will give more detailed information about the document such as when it was created and the size of the document.
You’ll also notice that the document Centre now opens up as a separate window in addition to i-clarity rather than over the top of it, meaning you can have it on a separate screen or glance back at it without the need to reopen it every time.
Some other new features include the ability to compare two documents within the document centre, loaded up in the preview together. Simply right click and then select the relevant option.
Not only that but on text-based document you can now right click and copy the text to your clipboard so they can be pasted into other documents. This is great for scanned documents where in the PDF or JPEG itself you wouldn’t normally be able to do this
Other new features include a button next to the patients name that allows the ability to play audio of the pronunciation of the patients name. For the most accurate results set the patients primary language.
The list of previous exams and prescriptions in clinical records has now been colour coded for easy identification of which type of exam you’re looking for.
Signature pads now directly capture what is written on a signature pad, no longer is there the need for the start pad and get from pad buttons. Simply open the signature box and get your patient to sign the pad and press confirm when captured.
Users of Tag text in clinical records will now have tag text added to their dictionary by default meaning spellcheck is now more visible for actual errors in the clinical record. A reminder any abbreviations that you want added so they don’t come up with a red line you can right click and click “add to dictionary”
That concludes the major changes and enhancements to i-clarity in the latest update. Please check the release notes for a list of bug fixes in this release. Check back in soon for another exciting update
