Choosing which appointment types are available to be booked online
For patients to be able to book appointments online directly into your i-Clarity diary you will first need to specify which types of appointment are bookable and which appointment slots in the diary are visible online.
- Open the maintenance module and navigate to the appointment types form.
- Within the top table of appointments, tick the ‘Online’ box next to any appointment type you would like to make available for online booking.
- Against each of the appointment you have marked as available online you have the option to also add a 'Web Description'. This is a paragraph of text that tells the patient more details about the appointment they are booking.
e.g. An exceptional sight test with a fully qualified optometrist. We will take the time to tailor the various tests to your lifestyle’s requirements to maximise your vision. Using state of the art equipment, we can perform a thorough inspection of your ocular health and recommend solutions to your visual needs. The test usually takes 30 – 45 minutes
Choosing which diary time slots are available to be booked online
You need to select specific appointment slots in each clinic that you want to make available for online booking.
- Open the appointment module of i-Clarity
- Right click on the appointment slot you would like to be available to the online booking page, and select 'Make Available Online'
- To make a whole clinic available online, click on the clinic menu icon at the top of the clinic, and select 'Allow all un-booked slots to be available online'
Duplicating Clinics Method
If you duplicate any clinic that has an appointment marked as ‘Available Online’, these appointment times will be marked as ‘Available Online’ in the duplicated clinic as well.
Appointment Templates Method
If you are using the appointment template feature in i-Clarity, you can mark appointment slots in your template as ‘Available Online’ using the same method as above. When you copy templates into the live diary, the future appointment slots will automatically become available online.
Adding your branch appointment booking link to the system
You can add your appointment booking url to you system so that you can use merge fields in patient communications.
- Open the maintenance module of i-Clarity and navigate to the 'Branch Full Config' form
- Complete the 'Web Booking URL' field with your online booking field
- The <> can then be added to recall communications.
