The Spectacle Prescription button brings up a form that allows you to add and then subsequently view Spectacle History that is not stored in the Patient's i-Clarity record. For example, for a new patient you could enter the prescription of a focimetered pair of the patient's spectacles they purchased elsewhere.

You can access a patient's Spectacle History by clicking on their name at the top left of their Patient Record, History Menu and the Spectacle History

This will load the following screen.

To add a new Spectacle History Record, click 'Add a New Spectacle History Record' to load the following screen.

  1. Use the date dropdown to select the date (or approximate date) that the spectacles were purchased.
  2. Use the dropdown to select the Condition of the spectacles.
  3. Use the SpecType dropdown to select the type of spectacles.
  4. Add any notes in the Note section.
  5. Fill in prescription in the bottom section of the screen.
  6. Click 'Save'.
